Grow to Save You!

Grow to Save You!

Perhaps the biggest lie that we place ourselves into is “I am not enough.”

Our father left us when I was two-year-old, I am the youngest of 5 children. All my life I wondered If I was the reason he left. Am I not lovable enough? If my own biological father could leave me, does it mean other people can willingly and consciously choose to leave as well?

In my years of reflection, I finally understood – yes people can choose and consciously leave but it has nothing to do with me.  In the same way I can consciously choose to leave a situation or environment that doesn’t help me grow – whether it’s a job, a relationship, or a community. Because growing saves me. Growing means continuing my life journey with all the things that I want to have, learn, share, care, and love.

To fill the gap of “not being enough” we tend to live a life of someone else. To fake our purpose, values, passion, and compromise everything… just to belong.

When we are wrap ourselves with insecurities, fear, doubts, we come up with an idea of “I wish I was somebody else.”  Why? Because we think those people who show perfect lives are living the perfect life. We tend to think that most people are better than us – in reality, we all are in this life journey to learn, everyone have different set of learning, everyone is unique, and no one is free from insecurities, fear, doubts. We all start from a starting point where we feel scared, and each breakthrough leads to learning and growth.

This is a confession, I find this woman who for me lives a perfect life – beautiful complete family, traveling, fashion, amazing network, financial freedom. That’s something that I am working on for life and she already have it!

Wait!

  • Am I not happy with what I have now? I am – I have a beautiful family of my own. True I don’t have a partner, but we (I and my kids) are just fine, we are all healthy, our house is filled with love, care, and laughter.
  • We don’t travel as much, but we are fine on our own, snuggling each other while watching movies.
  • My fashion statement is not that bad. Do you agree?
  • I love my small community, I have loving, trustworthy and amazing friends.
  • Financial freedom – how do we define this? Earning more while working less? How about happiness in what I do? How about a healthy body that is not stressed out? How about having more time to do what I want? How about focusing on my projects?

Because of my learning and growth, I feel blessed for the things that I have now, and I blessed her. I don’t know everything about her, but I am sure she is just as happy as I am.

Isn’t it funny? We look at other people, envy them for having an outrageously perfect lifestyle and wish

we could trade places with them. There are other people who look at us and think the same, by the way. Because the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Until we place it under a microscope. We suffer from low self-esteem and lack of self-confidence, and if we are not conscious enough, this will lead to desperation.  It’s okay to acknowledge these gaps for us to be able to assess what is our next move. I hope you agree with me that no one among us is perfect, however we can always choose and push ourselves to grow – to live the life we want.

We all have our insecurities. Nobody is perfect. We always wish we had better things, better features, better body parts, better life, etc. But life need not to be perfect for people to be happy about themselves. Learning, growth and loving yourself is not a matter of shouting to the whole world that you are perfect, and you are the best. It’s the virtue of acceptance and contentment. When we begin to improve ourselves, we then begin to feel contented and happy.

How Energy Affect Us?

How Energy Affect Us?

The aura or bio-energy field is a signal that travels throughout the nervous system creating a unique electromagnetic field of the organism, it has information about the individual’s psychological and mental status.

Scientist Semyon Kirlian started the scientific research on capturing subtle energy field known as Kirlian Photography, believed to capture the aura that surrounds part of the living being. Dr. Konstantin Korotkov and Krishna Madappa develop the Gas Discharge Visualization (GDV) technique to see Kirlian image of the whole body (human body and aura). The GDV image represents the distribution of energy flow in space and the interaction of this energy to the energy around it.

Human aura provides the unique signatures of the person’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual state. Any changes in the person’s health changes his/her aura field. Complete healing of a person happens when the deviations in the energy body disappear along with the physical symptoms of the ailment. In the same way the energy body creates the distortion first before the symptoms appears in the physical body. Medicines aims to treat the symptoms of the physical body while the energy healing treats the energy body. Modern medicine and energy healing complement each other.

Perhaps you have come across exotic-sounding terms such as “chakra”, “prana”, “aura”, and “tantra” in your reading on spirituality, sex, and healing and the New Age literature.

Let me give you some insight into energy healing.

Chakra or energy center is a term used in Pranic healing, an ancient energy healing system. “Prana” means life energy. “Aura” is another terminology traced to Pranic healing. Aura is a non-physical body that consists of energy, which exists along with our physical body. The aura that covers our body is said to have seven layers pertaining to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of an individual as manifested by energy. Studying the color and thickness of auras give ideas on the state of health of individuals.

Although Tantra is popularly associated with the peculiar practice of sex and spirituality, it is another method of energy healing. It comes from the word “tan” which means to spread or expand. The concept of connectedness is a recurring theme in Tantric writings on sex and spirituality. As a method of healing, spirituality, and sex figure prominently. It is presupposed that the union of man and woman can reach spiritual levels during orgasm, which removes the body and mind off collected impurities. These impurities being negative energies can in turn manifest as physical illnesses.

Reiki is originated from Japan. It is relatively younger than Pranic and Tantric healings having been rediscovered in the early 1900’s. Reiki stands for universal energy, an energy brought forth by higher intelligence. Students of Reiki are taught how to tap this energy to heal physical, emotional, and mental illnesses.

Although Pranic, Tantra, and Reiki are all systems of energy healing, they differ in the type of energy tapped for healing: life energy, sexual energy, and universal energy respectively.  The concepts of the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit; the connection of individuals to all living and nonliving things around them and to the universe; and how energy impacts physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are some of the salient similarities of these three healing methods.

What affects the energy field affects the physical body. Hence the dirty energies, thoughts, and emotions develop into poor physical health.

You may have heard that 80% of diseases being psychological, and the rationale behind this is the existence of the energy body and the energy centers, also known as chakras. Energy centers are responsible for the proper functioning of the internal organs. They received energy from the surrounding and expel the used-up energy back to the surrounding. When the energy centers start malfunctioning due to obstruction in the flow of energy and accumulation of negative thoughts and emotions, they adversely affect the organs under their control, and in the long run this causes disease in the physical body.

Energy centers have their psychological functions as well in addition to the physiological functions. The psychological l functions shape the character of a person. Changing the sizes of the energy center (clogged energy centers are smaller compared to properly functioning one) and disintegrating negative and stressful thought and emotions from our system can affect how we think, feel, and act. This affects how we interact with life event to the degrees of success and creativity. Disintegrating though forms and emotions are taught primarily in Pranic Healing.

Alternative healing and mainstream medicine continue as both present the benefits of their approach in connection with physical symptoms in our body as well as the energy body. If you are weighing your healing between the two, the final analysis to make is what matters is the restoration of good health, hence I suggest using both.

7 Reflection Areas for Life Fulfilling Experiences

7 Reflection Areas for Life Fulfilling Experiences

Heaven or hell on earth lies in our own life experiences. Many of us wander on the receiving end of life. We just receive what life gives us day in and day out. We don’t create intentions on how the day, the week, the month of the year would be. Sounds familiar?

Everybody wants happiness however not everybody seems to understand what happiness really means. Is it really something complex? I used to link my happiness with the achievement of my goals, and I find it hard to be happy. Happiness seems to be a puzzle and once it is solved, it just transformed into another puzzle to be solved.

My day use to be very long, it seems there is so much to do in a day. The to-do list was never-ending. Until I started doing morning visualization of how my day would be encompassing my spirituality, health, career, relationship, and personal growth. I committed to this well-rounded process for 90 days, another 90 days, and then it became a part of me. Meaning it became a habit more than a “to do” process.

At first, there was a bit of inconvenience, I was challenging my routine. Challenging my mindset and my actions. I wasn’t sure of how the process would add value to my life and if I can find the happiness, I was longing for by adding a layer to my morning routine which is already hectic. But it did. How? As I said there is a never-ending to-do list in a day. More often than not we tend to be focused on one area or two areas of our life and we neglect all the other areas like health, family, relationships, spirituality, and personal growth.

When I commit to the daily visualization and actions of my daily program, I started to feel one with life. I start to feel happy, and happiness is just around me. I just don’t react to life, but I create it. I recognize when it is time to go to the next activity knowing that I can continue the same program tomorrow. I have a better relationship with my body, emotions, and thoughts and eventually, I can do more activities in a day while maintaining a well-rounded approach in life – encompassing all that is important to me.

The next question is, what is important to you?

Here are 7 things for reflection that you can start with on daily basis.

  • Your Purpose

It is good to have hope, merging it with little direction can result in a big difference.  Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your own unique compass that will lead you to your true north every time. Sometimes when life reaches a dead end, your purpose opens away, a door to which you continue the journey.

One good thing about understanding your purpose is pinning down your purpose in each area of your life. Having a purpose is also understanding what you can give to the people and circumstances around you.  For example, what is your purpose to your partner, children, to yourself?

My purpose for my children is to empower them to be intelligent and responsible loving people. Does it mean that I need to fulfill all their desires? Not everything but only those that are aligned to my purpose – give them support in terms of love, security, time, teach them to decide, educate them, of course, that includes all the basic needs (home, food, clothing).

  • Your Values

Have you experienced being in a place, event, with a person and it doesn’t feel right? I did! That is because the experience is not aligned with my values. When we are less resistant to an experience, the more our energy merges with it, it becomes one with us.

What do you value most? Make a list of your top 5 values. Some examples are security, freedom, family, spiritual development, and personal growth. As you set your goals – check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn’t align with any of your top five values – you may want to reconsider it or revise it.

The number shouldn’t discourage you, instead, it should motivate you to do more than you can ever dream of.

  • Your Needs

Sometimes we take things for granted especially if it is about us. Yes, we do have needs! Just like everyone else. The biggest secret is the more we fulfill our needs, the better person we become for others.

Unmet needs can keep you from living authentically. Take care of yourself. Do you have a need to be recognized, to be right, to be in control, to be loved, to be taken care of? There are so many people who lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed, worried fearful, or even depressed for that matter. List your top four needs and get them met before it’s too late!

  • Your Passions

Our passion keeps us alive. We tend to delay the things that we truly enjoy. I’ll do that when… There will always be blockage or limitations when we are focused on them. The moment we free ourselves from these energies, the more we allow conscious freedom in our lives.

You know who you are and what you truly enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you but will not derail your chance to become the person you ought to be. Express yourself and honor the people who have inspired you to become the very person you wanted to be.

  • Live from the inside out

What is happening outside of you is a reflection of what is inside you. When you are peaceful from within then the environment around you is also at peace.

Increase your consciousness of your inner wisdom by frequently reflecting in silence. Commune with nature. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. For most of us city slickers, it’s hard to even find the peace and quiet we want even in our own homes. In my case, I often just sit in a dimly lit room and play some classical music. There’s sound, yes, but music does soothe the savage beast.

  • Honor your strengths

Can you imagine how much you’ve grown in the last 5 years? I became more confident, outgoing, loving, caring, less egotistical, and a bit more spiritual.

What are your positive traits? What special talents do you have? List three – if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help identify these. Are you creative, witty, and good with your hands? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know to others.

Serve others

It is in giving that we receive. What you send to the world will always come back at you in multiple. When you live authentically, you may find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others -your spirit – your essence. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is indeed rewarding, much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done to them.

How to Set Your True Goals?

How to Set Your True Goals?

Every new year, I revisit my goals setting folder to renew them, to give them more life, more energy, and to give me that boost to another 12 months of life changing activities.

What change over the years, how I look at my life goals. As I mature in age and gained some insight, I focused on the experiences and how my goals setting would make me feel. Also, I work on the requirements of those experiences and compare them with my existing capability, work on a plan on how to achieve it. To make the goal enthusiastic, I also think of how this experience or goal adds value to my loved ones and other people or beings.

Have you thought about your goals lately? What’s your dream? Is there anything that you did something about it? Have you started working on it?

They say that you have all the time in the world, But I’ve heard this statement from many people. But the truth is we have limited time with unlimited resources. I know some of you are raising eyebrows. But I am not trying to influence you, please read through and have your own conclusion.

Do you want to give your goals another jumpstarts the way I, do it? Here is what you need to do – write down your goals and use these questions to speed up the manifestation of your dream.

  • What’s your highest priority in this lifetime?

What’s the most important for you to experience, discover or embrace in this lifetime? As much as you wanted to do so many things, you will be limited by time. So, use your time wisely.

Again, what is it that you want to experience, discover, or embrace in this lifetime? Until you answer this question, your life goals will be off purpose. Maybe Unaligned with your inner passion, your intentions will lack the power to attract the people and situations necessary to become a reality.

Get clued into your true joy. Only happiness is the way. But Your emotion of true joy tells you that you are on the right path. The way you define your happiness has always been there from the moment you were born until you get acquainted and adjusted with this world. Let me ask you, what activities did you enjoy as a child? What are your hobbies now? When your goals are aligned with your soul, synchronicity kicks in to guide you in achieving them.

  • Is this your dream, or someone else’s?

Are your goals your own choice, or you let others thinks what you should strive for? Do you want to look back 20 years from now and wish you had followed your passion?

Will you regret having “played it safe?”

Is it selfish to go after your own dream? What joy can you give to others if you haven’t given it to yourself first?

Simply ask this question – Who is your boss in terms on your life experiences? And who should feel happy or sad or elated for your life – is it you or someone else?

If this life is only about experiencing (because you can’t really carry the material possession to death) – you experience love by loving the person you want to be with and not the one chosen by your parents or whoever has the capacity to do that decision for you.

You experience kindness from those times when you did not have much, in this case you also need to learn how to ask. You experience clarity in breakthroughs. These are examples of life experiences that will help you grow within.

  • Are you settling for less?

Patience does not to equal tolerance. However patience has the love aspect, you do it out of love. Although Tolerance is leniency or acceptance, you do it to keep the peace even though you are not entirety happy about it.  Are you designed to accepting less than your full share of love, health, and accomplishment in this lifetime? Have you been tolerant of others while you compromised and sacrificed your dream?

Anything short of living your true passions will never make you happy.

  • What will you feel like when you reach your dream?

Your passion fuels your vision. What will you feel like when you reach your dream? Imagine being there 3 or 5 years from now? I want you to dive into the thrill and exhilaration of the feeling of living your dream. Do you remember the happiness in the face of a child when they play “make believe”? I really hope you’ve seen one, if you haven’t or if you’ve forgotten, please search it on YouTube or Google, and I want you to close your eyes and play the game of make believe. What do you see? Can you feel it? What do you hear? Do you hear laughter? Does it smell good? Taste good? Allow yourself to be carried away by your senses, they are gifts.

The Hawaiian Kahuna say, “Where your creative attention flows, so flows your life.” What are you waiting for?

  • What steps can you take today toward your dream?

Don’t defer your dream. Set up supports and create a system around you to instantly translate your intentions into action.

Are there smaller projects that lead to your larger dream? If the goal is to run a marathon, train for a local fun-run first. And find a way to measure your progress. Track those little wins-by writing in a journal or get an accountable partner or friend to help you.

Get that capability that you need for your goal, schedule your appointment with the coach, record your actions in your calendar.  Jump on every opportunity that is in line with your purpose and vision. Also learn to say “No” to activities that are not aligned to your goals.

  • Are you telling yourself: “I can’t have my dream?”

Most people don’t believe they can live their dream. There are only two scenarios for this:

1) Either their belief system has them believing they can’t make a living doing what they love, or

2) they feel they don’t deserve their dream.

“It’s too good to be true.” And to avoid the pain of feeling they can’t have their dream; people often keep their dream so buried they can’t remember they ever had a dream. What a waste of life! If a baby stop trying to walk from the first time they got hurt, then they will not be able to run, ride a bike and live a normal life.

You can have the life that you want, all the experiences you want, and all your goals achieved.

Everyone has a dream! And everyone is destined to fulfill that purpose. Do it now. Why wait?

Let’s Get Started!

Create a list of possible goals for yourself. They don’t have to be accomplishable in year, or even in your lifetime. What I want you to do is to let your imagination loose, remove the judgment of realistic or unrealistic, or specific, or any other goal rule you know. Make a list of as many things are you think of in all areas of your life in the following criteria:

  • Must Have Goals
  • Step-up Goals
  • Ultimatum Goals
  • Inheritance Goals
  • Deep Desires
  • Magical Goals
  • Happy Wants
  • Naughty Wants
  • Super Wants

The purpose of this exercise is to awaken the life in you. In my next article, I’ll help you organize these goals, prioritize, and create action plans. Now I just want you to list down all the possible goals you want to have.

Must Have Goals

These are goals that you want to pursue. Goals that will make you a better person if you pursue them. What should you pursue this year?

Step-up Goals

These are goals that you’ve been working on, a progression or advancement that would take the goal to a next level. What do you feel the next reasonable step to accomplish to step-up?

Ultimatum Goals

Ultimatum goals are that you swore to do but never did. Think of this goal and ask yourself, If I don’t do it this year, I’m never going to it. This year I am finally going to do it, or there will be negative repercussion.

Inheritance Goals

These are  genuine goals that your parents, grandparents or loved ones want you to do. Remember those “expectations” set on you or handed to you because they care about you? The objective of you writing this down is to understand “whose dreams is it that you are working on.”

Deep Desires

These are the life goals that you want more than anything in the world. The goal that are prominent in your daydreams.

Magical Goals

These are you wish goals, what would you wish for if the ‘genie’ appears in front of you right now and gives you three wishes.

Happiness Goals

If your happiness wasn’t dependent on getting what you wanted, then what would you want? Or What would you do ‘now’ to make you happy? Do you have any short term or long term plan for this?

Naughty Wants

Firstly what if you have a different life? secondly what are those “never be able” to do from your current life that is achievable if you have a different life? Moreover what would you do if you are the only child of the most influential man in the universe?

Super Goals

What would you love to have more in your life? What are your big grin goals?

In my next blog I will help you prioritize your goals and ultimately find your true goals, the ones that will make your heart jump with joy.

How to Overcome Fear using Psychological Self-improvement

How to Overcome Fear using Psychological Self-improvement

We are usually frightened of negative things. We are afraid of self-improvement because of this fear. Psychological self-improvement may help us in this situation.

Helpful Factors in controlling Fear

Cycle of Ups and Downs

In psychological self-improvement, the best way to eliminate this fear is to understand that life is always in the cycle of ups and downs. No one is permanently up or permanently down. Remember that no one can evade these ups and downs even the most envied Hollywood stars.

What we should do about these downs is to learn from it and not to avoid it. We should learn how to handle our problems for our psychological self-improvement.

Figuring out Solutions

Difficulties/Issues/Challenges affect us every day. These problems bring us misery due to the fact that we have feelings. We should never loose hope in figuring out solutions to these problems. All we need is to learn how to overcome it and not to be overcome.

Learn from problems

Problems can never be overcome but we can learn from them. This is where Psychology plays an important role.

Be Cautious in Your Decisions

Psychologists say that we should always be careful in our decisions concerning our problems. We should handle our problems properly and learn how to deal with it. Learning from mistakes helps us in preparing ourselves for psychological self-improvement. However, some people instead of learning overcome fear from their mistakes.

Present is Lesson: Overcome your Past

There are a lot of myths about every event in our lives is due to pre-determined reason. Another belief says that what we encounter in our lives today is our preparation for other things that may come in our lives. To understand what may happen to us in the future, we must learn from the present. Don’t let your fears overcome your future.

With all that, it is also true that the unexpected can happen anytime. However, you should keep in mind that a psychological self-improvement is not always for the worse and consequently, you must never let go of a chance, because you are afraid to take the risk and to overcome fear.

Remember that, from time to time, something has to happen in order to free you from monotony, so you shouldn’t be surprised if, at a certain moment in time, instead of being afraid of change, you desire it with all your heart.

If there are some things that hinder you from going on, here are some tips to help you move forward:

Positive Impacts of Fears

Just think of the positive impacts results from the psychological self-improvement. Know important they are and reflect on how to increase them, by adding some other good aspects, which need certain assistance. Because if you see the negative impacts, then instead of overcoming your fear you overwhelmed it.

Try to picture somebody else in your situation, as picturing ourselves in a less desirable position, always looks more dramatic than it really is. If you realize that the other person can handle the change, you can be sure you’ll be able to handle it as well. This is a good psychological self-improvement.

Think of the worst situation that can result after the self-improvement. Try to find various solutions to it. Reflect on how much you can loose, if the worst happened, and how important those things are to you. If you find more than one reasonable solution, you are safe and the self-improvement can’t be stronger than you are!

Handle Negative Changes to Overcome Fear

Self-improvement is not bad at all. All we need is to learn how to handle some negative changes. We should also reflect from it to learn and use it in the future events that we may encounter. This could be your ultimate psychological self-improvement.

Self-Motivation: A Must Have Skill To Motivate Yourself Forever

Self-Motivation: A Must Have Skill To Motivate Yourself Forever

At some point in time, discouragement and lack of motivation may hinder you from reaching your objective. It happened to me, and it is up to you, and you alone to develop practices that will help you keep that drive within afire.

Best Scenario’s of Self Motivation:

The following are my suggestions to motivate yourself even in the not so best scenario :

Just as willpower is an essential factor in achieving success,

Visual Goals:

It is helpful to have visual goals. Whatsoever that is you are working towards, make it visual. When you make it visual, you energize it.  It maybe something material like the family home that you want, a car, or a vacation you have been looking forward to for the longest time.

Take or cut out a picture of it and post it at a conspicuous place at work or at home where you can see it often. So that when you feel discouraged, this will remind you of your goal and will help you keep your spotlight of self motivation.

Contract of Commitment:

Make a contract with oneself. According to motivational researches, people who write down to-do-lists are far more victorious in achieving their envisioned goals than those people who just keep mental lists instead. Because you find a self motivation energy when you put your goal in paper.

Putting something in writing somehow makes it more powerful psychologically speaking. This may also be the basis why most cultures have such a high regard in honoring contracts. In the contract, you may also include a certain reward that you will give yourself once you have accomplished the task, like having that full body massage by a professional masseuse.

After all, everyone likes to be rewarded for completing a good job. Even a simple pat on the back, “good job”, or “thank you” may do the trick to give the person the additional push to carry on, but unfortunately, these may not always be readily available. People around you may not acknowledge you always. Considering that acknowledgement is also essential in keeping oneself motivated, you must learn to find a way to get that encouragement on your own through pleasing yourself.

Stay Away from People Who Doesn’t Vibe with Your Energy:

Abusive people lower your self-esteem and bring you down. Get these negative people out of your life. Surround yourself with positive people. Imitate their example. Smile amply and think happy thoughts. But sometimes you can’t remove yourself from this type of people. What would you do then? Be aware of your thoughts, of your feelings, be aware of the things they do, be aware of how they affect you. By being aware, you can plan your respond, and practice your response every time you meet them. Example, person N is abusive in terms of his words, but he is my boss.

Is it about me or he is simply just like that? Can I change my boss? Well maybe in the future, later. But now, I have to deal with him, should I really be upset all the time? If he does this, which he always does (rejecting my ideas, shouting, make me feel dumb, etc. ) I should control my breath, once I control my breath, I control my thoughts, then I control my emotion. After all, what he is saying will not really matter 5 years from now (when I am in different environment), I will take this as experience and move on. I’ll look at him with to observe how his nose gets big, how he uses that unnecessary force to make me think that he coerced me, when he calms down, I’ll excuse myself, drink a bottle of water and wash all his energy down the drain.

These will give you a brighter outlook and lets you see a clearer picture of what you really want and a fresh mind to know what steps to take to get there. Rather than wait for things to happen, try to be proactive and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. Inactivity idles the brain and stagnates your potential to reach your goals.

Read inspirational books and literature:

These will help you improve your attitude and heal your mind. A book of success stories also proves to be encouraging. You will not only learn from others’ experiences and derive confidence boosting insights from them but the story will be contributory in motivating you to go for your goal and move ahead with your plans. If this still seems to falter, get training or education.

Oftentimes, not knowing how or where to start is frustrating. Knowledge is power. Having a clear understanding of how and where to start is empowering and it will offer the extra drive needed to hit the mark you are aiming at and follow it through.

Having enumerated all these tips and tricks to attain self-motivation, but still you seem to feel lacking that much needed drive, there is one last thing that you must try.

Make the Move for Self Motivation:

Whatever it is that you have been meaning to do, or wanting to achieve, JUST DO IT! Keep on aiming high and go for it! Actually, getting your hands dirty best solves the problem of self motivation. By “forcing” yourself to just do it, your momentum will pick up gradually as you go along and before you know it you have finished the task or have finally achieved your goal. Divide and conquer is the key.

Break down the seemingly unattainable activity to small doable steps. Not only does it become less overwhelming but seeing the “in the meantime” results will further your confidence that it can indeed be done.

Lack of self  motivation happens to us all, but if you do not encourage yourself to accept opportunities and be challenged, no one else will. It is most important to keep your eye on the goal, find ways to keep going, and in no time, you shall reap its benefits.

And if at the beginning you were just doing it for the material reward, you will also learn to realize that the fulfillment, satisfaction and self-achievement you derive from reaching your goal is a much enjoyable high that will keep the drive within constantly burning.
